Over the last few years, in my personal spiritual journey, I have spent a lot of time on-line, researching and searching for answers to the questions I have regarding all aspects of Christianity. I have found some great websites that I think you will find helpful. I will write a review about them here, along with a link, so you can do your own exploration/study.
These Christian resources are extremely varied in terms of content, media and authors/publishers. A few examples include sermons (written, audio and video), complete Bible translations, commentaries, comparisons and videos on about any spiritual topic you can imagine. There are articles and discussions by both well-known and obscure, but thought-provoking, authors. Read the teachings of C.S. Lewis, Billy Graham, J. Vernon Mcgee or Rick Warren. An endless variety of Bible study plans and daily devotions are available. Read the U.S. and world news that has an impact on the Christian way of life. I could go on and on. My intent with this Newsletter is to show you a few and prompt your interest in discovering others.
This is a good place to insert a caution. Early on I found that most of the resources have a bias, leaning, maybe an agenda or certainly an orientation, that needs to be kept in mind by the user. Sometimes, this is clearly stated. Other times is is more subtle. This is not something to be alarmed about. We all have our own orientation and thoughts. Just make sure you are understand the perspective a particular website is structured around. When I had/have questions along these lines, I often ask Pastor Paul or a trusted Christian for their opinion. I believe the sites I will review in this newsletter are transparent around their perspective. Nuff said......
If you have a favorite internet resource, please share it with me. I would love to learn about resources you have found that have helped you on your own spiritual journey.
Have a Blessed Exploration,
